Key People: Rick and Kristen Brown

Rick Brown, Founder

Rick has more than 25 years of leadership and development experience, many of those operating as Chief of Technology & Regulatory Affairs. Rick's past career experiences at Sprint, BroadbandNow, and CommSouth Companies provided him technical expertise and strategic management skills as he led teams in "new-to-market technology" & deployment.

Overseeing the regulatory approval and processes of these ventures allowed Rick to build a robust portfolio of implementation and critical decision making resources. In 2002, he took this extensive experience and launched Cornerstone into the payments industry. Rick facilitated a strategic partnership with Payment Processing Inc™ to leverage their extensive resources which enabled Cornerstone to develop into a trusted provider of timely and innovative solutions for merchants.

Rick holds a Bachelor's in Business Administration with honors from LeTourneau University and currently serves as a Board Member at a local Chamber of Commerce.

Kristen Brown, Core Team Lead

Kristen joined the Cornerstone team in 2003. She leads the Core Team at Cornerstone while streamlining customer interface and developing education opportunities for clients and employees. Her previous experience as a Process Manager for a Dallas-based IT Outsourcing firm provided a strong foundation for enhancing procedural management - something Cornerstone clients have come to rely on. Additionally, Kristen's experience in both Chicago and Dallas creating procedural strategies for team management and as Vice President of Operations for two corporations where she implemented resource guidelines provide continuous benefits for Cornerstone clients.

Kristen earned a Bachelor's with honors cum laude from the University of North Texas. She and Rick are active in local and international causes, including Kairos Prison Ministry and an orphanage in Honduras.

Tammy Allen

Key People: Tammy Allen - Applications and Client Services

Tammy is Cornerstone's Team Lead for Applications and Client Services. She brings a combined 20 years experience to Cornerstone from both the public and private sector of Utility Management.

Tammy coordinates processes for assimilating client data, communicates with our Underwriting team, and works to ensure quick approvals of merchant accounts. Tammy also facilitates in-field support for merchants during the installation phase and ongoing support through educational programs on best practice methods.

Lauren Justice

Key People: Lauren Justice - Cost Analysis

Lauren joined Cornerstone in 2009, coming from a background in the banking and payments industry. She works diligently with our potential clients to provide them a Cost Analysis Report for their existing processing costs. She presents the data in an easy to read format that will lend any business manager the tools needed for understanding this complex industry.

Lauren graduated honors from The University of Texas at Tyler with a Bachelor's in Accounting. She and her husband are avid Texas Rangers Fans.
